About the event

Pain is one of the most common non-motor Parkinson's symptoms affecting up to 80% of the Parkinson’s population. This is an under-explored area and often remains under-treated, leading to the prevalence of poor quality of life.

To efficiently manage pain, it’s important to understand the basics of pain science, categories of pain, and to learn diverse skill sets to effectively self-manage pain. It’s possible to combat pain with minimal dependency on medication and re-engage in physical and social activities with education, guided practice, and repetitive training.

BeyondRehab in partnership with American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Northwest is proud to present you a 4-week education series.

Our Approach

BeyondRehab's approach is to empower individuals in effectively managing their pain and enhancing quality of life by helping them navigate through the lifecycle of pain. The lifecycle is divided into 4 distinct phases to help you achieve your goal in pain management.
